Sommer ends, Fall is allmost hear, What happend with the sommer?

Not to belive, ,it was spring in the air as I wrot my last blog. Now is fall and the trees turn in there collerful beauty! What was going on in Sunshine? It is the Farm blood, the normalty for a farmer,that when the sun is shining and nature starts to grow alaround,that I want to be outside and not on the computer.
I , we, enjoyed sommer in our so wonderful place called home. Walter was on a missions tripp in Belize. After this he worked hard in the garden and now we have our two freezer full .Holydays with his three broder was an experiment on his own. They enjoyed each other and had a real good time. I enjoyed it alone at home too !(the wifes were not in the party!)Chris ,Melanie and Nathaniels visit by us was so good! The day with Nataniel alone with us grandparents was so heartwarming. Nathaniel and I had a good time, making bred from scratch. Not only a smal portion but for 12 bread in one batch. What fun we had! Visiting with Ursi and her family and play with Katie and Maya ,spending time with Markus and having many couples in our downstair appartment keept me busy. And now is the last week bevor we travel to Swizerland to see our other grandkids ,Rudy and Sarah ,siblings and friends. A kind of a strange thing for me is to go back as "an orphen". Name it that way shows me the griving for my mother inlaw is still in my heart.I realy loved her and miss her .
Now I try to put some pictur to this blog. We lost a lot with a failore of the camera memory chips Today the same thing happened again, and we miss nice picture from this sommer. I do not know what I can do to find or activate them. It frustrats me!!! May be this winter I have to spend with the computer , cellphone ,camera etc........! It not worked you have to wait tille I am able to show also some picture in my blog.
I wish you all a good rest of the sommer or fall. Enjoy all the fall leaves and colers,also the last warm days . Soon enough snow swirrles around our houses and cover all in white. And even then we will have our many enjoyments and wonders to thank for . God bless you!

Life in Sunshine

Sunshine, rain, sunshine, more rain, sunshine again. But the trees are green, the birds are singing, the flowers bluming. My husband in the garden , I tending the lawn . And then enjoy visiters and picnics down by our "Waldkaffi". We feel so blessed and have empathy with the peoples in Manitoba and more south with all that water and the fire there .Powers we humans are so helpless against... Who is in controll?   We are ,but only to a set amount. That let me think : be thankfull and also humbel. I try to bring some picture in my blog ,but I am not sure if I can remember how to do it.So I get started...

I got the picture in.!! Not on the place I like it but better I leave it so and you can have a look at it. May be an other time I will experience more.  So enjoy a littel bit of life in  Sunshine and hopefully you have sunshine too.

Easter day

Our first coffee outside. It is April the 23th. Maybe you can see Walters eye. It healed really nicely.We are so thankful for that.

Jeff cut a tree branch off for a  free view to the river from our kitchen.

Families Wilson visited with us and we had a wonderful walk along the river on the allready green path.

God's protection

Friday late afternoon Walter went to the bush to cut some firewood. Then he came home with a bloody face. A little treetrunk he cut off hit his face and oppened a big gape on his eyebrow.... We have it so good , in 1 1/2hour a doctor in the hospital cleand out all the dirt in the deep wound and mad stiche in 3 lyeres. Today the eye is big swollen and colored but not hurting to bad. Thank be to God for the protection! What if it has hit under the chinn, or the nose, or panged the whol head backwards... A lot of help and protection we recived from the Highest. We are so greatfull!!!!!!!
The plan change in the church wehere we should have played with the Alphorns have to go with plan B.The two day of holiday we have planed for next week may be have to wait a little longer. But we are alive, healty , protected and loved, so we will be glad and praise God for His goodness. Tomorrow is sunday . Have a blessed one !And look out for the first dafodiels. They come allways to help celebrat eastern. At least it seames so for me . We call this flowers "Easter bells".So good we can celebrat the reedeming work of Jesus and his resurrection on easter . The snow is gone

How good it feels: warm , sunshine, no snow around. We had a busy week , for four day we attended a real good seminar about the spirituell war fare. We learnd so much and have now to internalize what we heard and experienced. We enjoy it at home again. Now we can be more active physicly that the snow is gone. We so enjoyed to have time and stay inside , read, study , talke , go slow. visit and do what we in the farming days not had time for. May be we lost a bit the balance or are not use to that kind of work. Anyway we enjoy the start of the warm saison! The minds goes towards dreaming of traveling , holidays, hiking, having visiters, playing with grandkids autside, lawn mowing, oppen fire in our "Wald-Kaffi"etc.
This week I have my last bible study group meeting. No preperations and meetings for a while!
I like the different saisons, allways something to enjoy and looking forward too to the next change. Now: Crocuses oppened , the trees start budding, the birds singing and make nests, the sun warms my back,the lawn starts to be greener every day.We see also more people in the towns and on the streets. Soon the farmers are in the fields again to plant our food for a new saison. Never forget to pray and thank for the growing of our dayly bread.

Not spring jet

Two days ago it looked that almost all the snow is gone. Walter came home from Belize with a lot of good memories and experiences of God's providence, ...and glad not to come into winter in Canada. But then over night, a new snow cover was lied over the country. Winter again! But the sun is shinig strong  and I feel the near spring.Not a lot of newes is happening in Sunshine, but we enjoy to be togehter again and be able to have time to discusse lif with all its ups and downs in our and others peoples life.All the wars and aftermat of earthquake  and tsumanie  sure let us think in what a road our world is going.How comforting  is it that God is with us in it too. On christmas we celebratet Emanuel with us.  And He has not left us , may be we have left Him.... And soon we celebrat our risen Lord  , that shall give us hope in all the threatening events in our days . That are a few thoughts in my mind but to enjoy the nice things , I go now for a Coffe with my spouse Walter . Have one too and take a break to think of your blessings. God bless you.

Two weeks alone !?

Many wonder what I will do . It is already half time over. It went fast! Meetings  visiting, Grandchildren sitting ,Church, only a bit TV . Phone calls,. Today I made a batch of bread . It is always a creative job for me and I am happy when the bread come out of the oven. Smelling ,nicely brown  and so fresh that I have a hard time to wait till it is not to hot to taste. And during the making, thinking, and praying for the thousand's and thousands in Japan who are homeless hungry, thirsty , in a shock, . How good we have it!!!!! never forget to thank God for all the blessings!!Tomorrow a couple come to the counseling office in Gorrie and they stay in our downstairs . So I cleaned and made it ready for them and pray that they will get help from Bob and most of all that Jesus help them to find the root causes  of their Problems and show the way to deal with it and heal them.God is still in miracles .Praise Him.
I got a phone call from Walti. They have it very good . All goes well! They have HOT in Belize. Luckily the ocean , the water to swim, is not so fare away. So they can go to the "happy place" during the day and looking forward to a dip in the water  in the evening. When Walti is home he will have a lot to tell us from his adventure.The days will fly and soon it is Monday night when Walti is back home.I love him and looking forward to see and have him again.
For all who read this blog, Enjoy what you have and if it sames hard compare to the "right " side . There is always a lot worse situation then yours. An God will help us to carry the cross He planed for us. So rejoice and be glad and count your blessings. There are always some!!!!!!

Hardly to belive

Hardly to believe:

4 weeks since my last blog
Walti  is 65 years old,
we are  38 years married. Almost as many year in Canada as in Switzerland.

 That is what kept me busy this last weeks. We had a wonderful birthday party with all our friends and neighbours. It was a well received evening. The laughter and talking went on and on. We showed some slides from Switzerland they really enjoyed.it . The quiz about Walters 65 years of life brought many wondering and laughing after the solution was given.
 Walter is now in Belize on a missions trip . They will build a ceiling and a platform in the front of the church.May be they also can put some tiles in the washrooms. For sure they all will enjoy the warm weather. I stayed at home because I had no desire to go in an other place, country or culture. Now I am at home and enjoy the time here till Walter come home in 2 weeks. May be i also will experience some transition in this time.  For sure it will be interesting to learn what each other has learned, from others and themselves.
On Thursday I make my own little missions trip and go to the Mission Liebenzell in Canada. You found out ? Yes I go and bring some relive for a tired mom of two , so I hope. My be after that I need a recuperation time too. I am not so strong and fit anymore , but know how low you can get as a working mom. So I pray also for this mission.You all are in my prayer to . May God bless you with little unexpected blessings in you everyday life. Hi is good an knows all our needs and will sustain us  in His time. Lets trust and obey, how it says in a song. 
When you look at the snow still lingering outside do not forget , spring came all the years in the past , it will come!! Enjoy life anyway!!!!     Love you all.

A new week!! Greeetings from Sunshine

I wish you all a good week. We had a nice relaxing weekend with Ursi and family. It was so good to have the grand kids close. We enjoyed each other with playing , reading story's ,laugh and just have fun. Ursi and Jeff built a tunnel in to our big snow pile.  To bad Ursi and Jeff had to fight a bad cold. Kathie enjoyed Grossvatis big handkerchief. Her nose was always running and she "practice" cleaning her nose.

I know how to blow my nose but have to practice computer. What a good tool is it  to writ a blog. So you have the fun with reading it!!!! Markus gave me a CD with learning lessons for window XP. That will help me .....if I take the time to listen.Thank you Markus to supply me with it! It is really good . Today I sat the second time to learn  and understood already a bit more. Drag, select , cut,  past,... for you guys, all your language. For me a new language, but I am willing to learn it. Who had thought 20 years ago that I will ever read, speak and write in English.....!!!!!! My mother in law is my big role model. She learned with 57 to drive a car, what was not really accustomed then. And she and father had so many enjoyable hours to go for a trip or visit Friends and family. Today it is the Internet, hot mail and blogs to connect. Thanks Melanie to encourages us to do it!! 

 I am back from supper and hoped to find the picture in my camera with no success. So no picture today . I  will figuring out some days.

 May be I give it one more try. There is a file  with a picture from my snowmen decoration I like.

Saturday

Saturday, a day I am often not sure  if  it is the free day of the weekend or if I should do some "imported" work. Most often it turns out that we get up late  and "hang " around. Today I cooked  my beef roast I had in a wine ,vinegar ,wather marinade for 8 days. It turned out yummy!!!!!!!!!! Often a meal we had as children when we had to use "fall" meat. Meat from a self insurance from the farmers to get a bit more money for an animal who had an accident and the butcher would not bay it . Often it was an old cow and with this marinade it softened the meat.It is even better when the meat come  from a young beef !!
 It was such a beautiful  sunny afternoon, that we went for a snowshoe walk on our land. it was gorgeous! Way haven't we  used the snowshoes for over 16 years? May be to start some thing new in our retirement . Today I also finally learned to post a comment in the blog. How many times I wrote one and could not post it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But not give up  , be determent will even help me with the computer technology.
But now I go in the lazier part and close my computer. Have a wonderful weekend and a good week.

Hallo you  all. It is a while since I wrote in my blog. had it on my mind all the time.  I wanted to share some pictures with you but still  did not know how to get the picture in my camera in the blog. so , now that Chris had over a hour patient with me, we will see if the investment pays back.

A time later.

That is the story. The picture I so like are in the blog but not jet in the spot I like them to be. May be that is the next lesson!!!!!   So enjoy with me my winter joy and gifts I receive from God .To enjoy and admire HIS new creating every day in his creation to lift up and encourage his children.Thank you my father in heaven.

 A little later. I played around not really knowing why it moved . A few picture you have an explanation.  now I am tired and should go cocking. The tree is our big Mapel tree.   The three other  picture, do you know what it is?

Ice flowers ! on our garage door . But lasted only a few hours. I exited when I see some so rarly flowers this days. We had them on our bedroom windows in the mornings of my childhood winters. Is it not wonderfull "growing "out of cold moister and a bit of dust ?

an every day

Get up in the morning. have breakfast . Swiss style : milk and coffee . Oh it is sooo good every morning and I enjoy it !Home made bread an jam, some times cheese. Alphorn practise almost every morning, then a few errands in the household or office. Phone calls . letters, discussion with my husband. Today we brought our car in service and joined the prayer meeting. God knew every thing but HE want  to hear from us and and include us in his plans. How often are we distracted to do what is right. or have to fight to make a right decision and even go through to do it also.After lunch we enjoy a break with reading a book. , for a longer time then  when we still farmed! and then a short nap. In the afternoon we often go visiting people from church. Older, grieving, hurting, sick and other people. It needs time and I am still not used to the long driving distances and the time that it  needs.But be glad to have the  time to do this ministry. I have to learn to  enjoy even the time in the car.Evenings are filled with visiting, watching TV, may be time on the  computer, ( have still not learned to bring pictures  from my camera  in to  this blog....) ,reading books, Coffee or tee and then again it is already late  and time for bed..If you like to have a coffee with us,  be welcome,,, May be an other time..... Better call first to find us at home, But we would enjoy your visit with  us! Find something to enjoy today  and store it in your heart for a dark day!  God bless you today!

Greetings to you all . The first one in this new year!, may God bless you all.


The holidays are over , the house quiet again, but also nice to be back in a every day routine. Over Christmas all the snow was gone but now all outside is nice and withe again, I like  it. When the sun is shining it all is so pretty.. clean and promising ,  what ever you wish to think.I enjoy all the wonders in nature. What a Creator  we have . Wonders over wonders. If the sun rises or goes down. If the fog hides all the surroundings and then the sun come and reviles all a new!The ice crystals on the trees, the birds visiting the food station. My husband invites me for a coffee.

Now I start on my own to put some picture to my blog to share with you. Enjoy what ever comes out of my effort.


Two picture I could catch and they posted them selfs in my blog and I leave  it there  because  I may  lose them . You see myself   creating a gingerbread house with Markus  and the final product. We had fun!!!!  The new picture in my camera are still there  and I need some help from Christian to connect the camera to the computer. So have patient for the  picture I made  from around our house. Have a good weekend and a verry good week again.
