Between Christmas and New Year

We had a good Christmas with our friends and in Church , although it was sadened through a death in our Church family.  To young(59) but God gives the measure of our lives. Today was the funeral service.  A lot of praises and singing of Gods goodness and providing even in this time of grieving and departure of a loved one.also the importance of knowing Gods salvation  and redemption.
We enjoy this day" between". No stress , no rush. time to relax and to "be". On the 31 . Dec. Ursi and family comes to us and then the house is filled with young lives again. An then the new Year is here. We think of a new beginnings, new plans. new hope, new goals. My advise , go with little steps  and enjoy every day as it comes.
May God be with you in your journey in 2011.

Here I try to put in some picture from our Christmas decorations. Soon it is time to put them away for an other year . After this, Snowman's will bring some smile on the faces of guests and my self. So have a great time in "between " to a good start in the New Year.

Christmas morning

.Weihnachtstag! What a greeting when I went to Cook Coffee. A beautiful sunrise! And markus helped me to put this picture in my blog.  It is already late in the evening. we unwrapped the last gifts had our tradition Fondue Chinois although only we three had supper together. Hopefully in a other year you from faraway can join us again too.  we wish you many joy full  days in the rest of this year.  We have a sad thing happened again in our church family. A59 year old women died yesterday  at heart problems,  the funeral is on Wednesday. What have we to learn???  Love . forgive . say sorry,  I love you , thank you.   and do it now , maybe it will not be a tomorrow.   Love you and pray for you .   Good night.   Muetti  

a few day to chrismas

A long week is gone by. The more quiet time is finally here.  I do the gifts  , thinking more of Christmas and made even a few cookies and have some dough  to make more. So guests can enjoy it with us. As a child  on the 26.december we often visited relatives and there the Cookie collection was so different and I enjoyed most the Nutmacrones with a whole hazel nut on top. This kind has for sure  to be in my backing too.
Markus will be home for Christmas , we celebrate with our friends on 24. and with church on the 25. and at home as a family of three this year.  Out side it is still with, but not more new "stuff". I am glad bc. Walti feels sick ,so it is better he can stay in the warmth then snowplowing.Out of my heart I wish you a merry most blessed Christmas. Enjoy your family, friends and the love of God who cam to us with the singing of the angels. Glory to God in the heavens and Peace on earth. My His peace surround you all the time. 

Christmas time ! ?

How I love all the blogs from my Kids and in laws!!!!!!!!!!!!!!      
It is such a busy time and I miss the quiet and expectations Time of my childhood.Where have we be going off the road?  I am working on the Christmas letteres and gifts, " Many irons in the fire" ,walti said  to me this morning. This afternoon  I was on the funeral from a women from our church . she lived in a nursing home ,and after many! years, 3 weeks ago ,I toke the time on the way of my shopping tour and went visiting her. She enjoyed it , but mostly she talked Harland's . Many things I know from long ago visits. Most importuned was here  upcoming 100 st  birthday on the 5. Dec.  And she made it!  I came home a little sad. What is life? What is importend? How can I leave a legacy that is worthwile?   At home I did some office work for Waltis counseling session next week and got to the blogs. What a joy to read from all of you my loved ones!Thank you all. It is so uplifting to heare from your lives. You are all the time in my hearts and prayer but not so often am I talking with you. Or take the Time!? Sorry. So much for this time , I really should also work on my many projects. But may be a cup of coffee first gives the right energies. Want to have one too?  would be nice....  Enjoy this time of the year and put in some break times to be still and know that the Lord is our God  coming to us when ever we let Him in. Wish you a lot of Christmas joy. 6. Dezember " Samichlaus" day

Out side it is a  snow day and more snow on the way. !  In the house it smells like Grittibaenze. I can not let it be and bake one  for my neighbours. A tradition started when 14 years ago  I brought  one to Leo Sanders but he was just ready to visit his first granddaughter borne this day .That's why  I remember this day. Years later when I backed ours  I brought a big one as a birthday gift to Alana. Since then we have a kind of a relationship with Grittibaenz.It is nice and I like to keep it going.

Leise riselt der Schnee

Now is every thing white  outside . Winter is here!  Fondue -Time ! First one tomorrow with the Jodler on their Samichlaus  evening.  Then the day after "Samichlaeusle"  by Markus. I am looking forward to it. Today was an other busy day out of the house. Prayer meeting in the morning. Elder visit   for 3 hours afternoon  So  i was really tired  when we came home.  I think a day to go to bed soon and hopefully sleep soon.

is the winter now here?

We had a stormy night and in the morning it started with snow flacks in the air. afternoon came the sun again do bring a nice light to the wedding we attended. after the reception  , up to an other party. Marieterese Egli has here birthday  today. So were in good company  and are well feed!  Tomorrow is first advent and our Christmas lights are shining in the dark night. Walti has also installed our shiny reindeer's. It looks  really nice. So for about 6 weeks we have an illuminated house. Nice to come home at night.! Wish you all a relaxing Sunday and that you hear a good sermon tomorrow. Especial one witch speaks to your heart.

Ten o clock at night, and I am on the Computer blogging!!!!!!!!!!  What to tell?  Thank you all for your comments and the encouragements to writ here.After the Prayer meeting this morning  i Started whit Christmas backing.Laebkuchen for the Samichlausseckli.Auch die Paeckli fuer usere zwei Sponser childern in Haiti sind heute fertig eingepackt worden . Sorry , this was German. It means that two gift boxes are ready for our sponsor childern in Haiti.IF you like , I go for an Ovi milk and you can have one too. May be an other time. Sleep well or have a good day.

Harvest blessings

What blessings came out of Waltis and God's garden!  Thank you Lord. thank you Walti . Carrots, beans salad, tomatoes. potatoes. brussels sprouts. celery...... And now all is in the freezer. Walti prepared  it ,I only had to cook and put it in the freezer. And now guests are welcome to join us for a meal...
   On sunday we were with Wilsons in church for the dedication of Maya.God bless this little life that it carry Gods light whiht in to the world.  A nice get to get together also with the Wilsons grandparent.
 Tonight we go to an elder visit. till now we had always good discussions and went home also  refreshed.So have a good time , enjoy your life and  give a smile to some one you do not know.

Christmas athmosphere

After waiting for a special event to redeem a birthday promise, my friend and I went go an exhibition of 4000 peaces of nativities. What a time we had! Groups and groups of Betlthem scenes, made of wood , porcelain bread though, egg cartons. play though. fabric, metal ,glass silver , paper etc, knitted , crouched,  carved, etc. .........................Wonderful..... All the different displays are lend for this 10 days . from all over the world, owned by local people.   An all for no entrance fees!!  We drove happily homeward and mist the right  turn for home!! A good afternoon. We agreed to do it next year again.
That and the restored computer work from yesterday , and to write this entry so easily made my day. Have a good one too.
